Wolverines crush Coalgate 48-6

The Holdenville Wolverines earned their 6th win of the year last Thursday with a lopsided 48-6 win at Coalgate. The Wolverines scored 3 touchdowns in the first quarter and put the game out of reach by scoring 3 more touchdowns in the second quarter. Cash Carter scored Holdenville’s first touchdown on a 32 yard run with 8:39 remaining in the first quarter. Izaia King scored less than 2 minutes later on a 52 yard run and Cy Tiger added a 2 point conversion to up the score to 14-0. King scored again on a 13 yard run in the closing seconds of the first stanza and Tatum Sanford added 2 more points on the conversion to raise the score to 22-0.
1562 - Tatum Sanford is the Holdenville News Wolverine of the Week. Tatum is one of the leaders on the Holdenville defense.

HHS Golden Pride Band Wins at Regionals ....brings home Superior Rating!

The Golden Pride Marching Band participated in the OSSAA Regional Marching Contest in McAlester recently and for the third year in a row brought home straight Superior ratings! The band is phenomenal this year and we are so proud of their achievements under Holdenville Band Director Sam Crosby and Assistant Band Director McKean Akin, pictured at left.
