Had another great old geezers Holdenville Alumni meeting on July 11. There were 19 in attendance. The Wall of fame that Bobbie Jo is working on is growing. Recently I ran across some interesting facts from 1947. That was the year I was born so I really enjoyed seeing what was going on that year.

This is a special tribute to those people who were born between 1930 and 1946 or those of you who might know or have known someone from this era: People born during this special time in our country (includes me, of course) are between 76 and 92 years old. Al Wilburn has heard of a few of these things and maybe you are, are know someone.

A huge crowd gathered to welcome Jessica Beck as the new local agent of Farm Bureau Insurance in Holdenville. Customers, co-workers, family and friends came out to help her celebrate. Jessica said she is looking forward to spending many years here and giving back to their insureds and the community.

Our beloved Queen, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Auntie and Friend went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Iola Eddington started her life on June 25, 1962 in the community of Yeager, Oklahoma.

Elbert Clark, originally from Holdenville, passed away today in Pauls Valley. Services are pending with Wooster Funeral Home of Pauls Valley..

Emily Jean Turner Grimm passed away Tuesday July 12, 2022, at Clarehouse Hospice Home in Tulsa, OK at the age of 79. Jean was born on December 19, 1942, in Holdenville, OK to Burley and Mae Madden Turner.

Doyle Gene Wilson passed away July 13, 2022 in Holdenville at the age of 84. Doyle was born July 8, 1938 in Holdenville to Willard Wilson and Iva (Holt) Wilson.
