THE BREEZY This past week I found a May 28, 1945 copy of “The Breezy”. This was a monthly publication published by the Holdenville Business & Professional Women’s organization.

Barry Wood and wife Joetta hit the campaign trail in the Calvin 4th of July Parade. Barry is running for District 1 Hughes County Commissioner and will be on the ticket November 8.

Zac Greenlee continues his campaign to be the Republican nominee for District 1 Hughes County Commissioner. Only two votes separated Zac and his opponent, Dwight Barnett. The two men will face one another in a runoff election August 23.

Andy was once approached by two of his church members, military men, who asked him to become an Army chaplain. As such, his military rank would have required them to salute him. In amusement, he mentioned that fact. Their laughing response? “Remember, Pastor, we are required to salute the uniform, not the man who wears it!”

I think maybe people have been cooped up too long with all the COVID stuff going around. Maybe that explains why I have received some interesting notices from people who have experienced questionable experiences.

A felony warrant was issued on June 23, 2022 for Kevin Ryan Davis, 33, of Holdenville for three counts of RAPE, FIRST DEGREE (VICTIM UNDER AGE 14), A FELONY, and two counts of FORCIBLE SODOMY. At approximately 8:30am on Friday, February 25, 2022, Holdenville Chief of Police Kristofer Green was dispatched to Holdenville General Hospital to take a report of a sexual assault.

Johnny “Harrell” Price passed away Saturday, July 9th, 2022 at his home in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 90. Harrell was born December 20, 1931 in Spaulding, Oklahoma to J.M.
