Holdenville Airport Among Latest Break-ins

Body
A string of break-ins and burglaries in Holdenville in recent weeks including Perry’s Ford, Johnny’s Appliance, County Building Center, the Holdenville School’s Baseball/Softball field house, and the Holdenville Airport has resulted in a interagency law enforcement manhunt for the prime suspect, Tiberius Dodson. Dodson is wanted in connection with multiple break-ins and burglaries in the Holdenville and Wewoka communities. A property owner in the 600 block of South Echo found and confronted Dodson inside of his property. Dodson jumped out a back window, turned and fired shots at the property owner before fleeing and making his escape. Multiple departments and state agencies are still actively pursuing Dodson across two counties. If you have any information that may help lead to the capture and arrest of this wanted fugitive please contact the Holdenville Police Department at 405-379-6627 or the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office at 405-379-2203. Suspect considered to be armed and dangerous.

Councilman Robinson Does Not File for Ward 4 Council Seat

Body
Dane Robinson’s Statement: As some of you have heard by now, I did not file to run in the city council election coming up in April. I have enjoyed this past year more than I could ever possibly tell you. I have loved serving this community in this new capacity. I never wanted to hold this seat as a position of power but only use it as a new way to serve this community that I love so dearly. That’s why I did not accept the health insurance and why for the past few months I’ve donated all of my salary back to the city. I wasn’t in this for me. I was in this for Holdenville. I enjoyed the work very much and even more the people that I worked with. I have made some of the closest friends that I’ve ever had and they will remain my friends for the rest of my life.

Good morning to you. Hope you have had a good week. I can’t believe that January is almost gone. My dad used to say the older you get, the faster the time goes. I thought he was just being an old timer and didn’t know what he was talking about. Turns out that my dad was pretty smart! I was thinking about all the blessings the LORD lets us enjoy everyday. When the LORD created the universe, HE built into it billions of blessings – all the star that twinkle, winds that blow, flowers that bloom, friends who care, verses that strengthen, music that plays, medicine that heals, tasks to do, books to read, dogs to pet, trips to take, clothes to wear, hymns to sing, prayers to offer, and plans to anticipate. Each one is a separate blessing from GOD. They can never be used up, and their supply endures forever.
