Caroline Chesnutt, the only surviving child of Clyde W. Chesnutt, invites you to her father’s Celebration of Life. Clyde passed away at home in Albuquerque at age 93. Friends and family will gather at Barnard Memorial United Methodist Church, Holdenville, where Clyde first preached, on Saturday morning, January 17th at 11:00 o’clock A.M. to remember his life and legacy of family and service. Rev. Sarah Miller will officiate with Clyde’s brother, Rev. Lon Chesnutt of Catonsville, MD giving the homily. Brother Ken Chesnutt will give brief remarks. Brother Tom Chesnutt will be his timekeeper.

Services for Alice Lavoyce Owens, 75, of Holdenville are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church in Allen. Revs. Mark Barnes and Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at Centrahoma Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Funeral services for longtime Holdenville resident Glen Dale Paslay were held on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene in Holdenville, with Brother Dane Robinson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jordan Paslay, Thaddeus Frazier II (Thad), Thaddeus Frazier, Kevin Green, Dwight Barnett, and Bryan Jay. Honorary bearers were Kennie Paslay, Doyle Paslay, Denny Paslay, Shawn Brewer, Pat Brown, and Rusty Carter. Burial followed at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville.

Bobby Burton Turner, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away on December 8, 2025 at age 98. A memorial service will be held at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel on December 19, 2025 at 12:30pm. A graveside service will be held for family and friends at Colquitt City Cemetery on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at Colquitt Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Clinton was born March 1, 1946 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Thomas Lewis Horne and Ruby Lettie (Kincaid) Horne. Clinton graduated from Holdenville High School in the Class of 1964. He attended East Central University and graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Art. Clinton served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Corrections Case Manager for the Oklahoma Department of Correction. Clinton enjoyed fishing, animals, dogs, movies, sports and driving around.

Leamon James Jr. ‘Peanut’ Lowe passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the age of 64 years. Peanut is the son of Leamon Lowe Sr & Dorothy Allene (Hudlow) Lowe, born on September 6, 1961, in Wilburton, Oklahoma. He was brought up in his younger years in LeFlore, Oklahoma and attended LeFlore schools. The family moved to Oklahoma City, where he graduated Classen High School in 1979. He attended VoTech school and earned a Machinist certificate, working various jobs as a laborer before becoming disabled in his late teenage years. Some of his favorite things were hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leamon & Dorothy Lowe. He is survived by his brother, Ronald Lowe (Beth McCleskey) of Holdenville, and his sister, Rhonda Lowe of Oklahoma City; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends. There are currently no services planned.
