Cheryl Renee Buck
Cheryl Renee Buck, 61, of Holdenville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, surrounded by love.
Cheryl, lovingly known as “Big Mom” by her grandchildren, was born on March 23, 1965, in Dallas, Texas, to J.W. (Corney) Buck and Arlis Jo Buck. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Cheryl had a fun-loving, caring, and funny spirit that could brighten any room. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, humor, and deep faith. She loved her children and grandchildren more than life itself, and they were truly her greatest joy.
She is survived by her children: Sarah Arredondo Dalton and husband Derick Dalton; Tarah Arredondo and partner Shane Hulstine; and Tatum Lee. Her grandchildren: Riah Arredondo and fiancé Zachary Laurent; Trenton Sanchez-Buck; Jaebri Sanchez-Buck; Lee Andrews; Bryson Andrews; and Journie Andrews; and great-grandson Malachi Laurent. She is also survived by her siblings: Kimberly Buck, Meesha Buck, and Will (BJ) Buck; her special mom, Connie Buck; her best friend, Tammy Hill; and her true love, her dog Elsie Mae, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. (Corney) Buck and Arlis Jo Buck; her brother, Anthony Whistler; her sister, Jonanna Buck; the love of her life, David Lee; as well as her grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Cheryl’s love will live on in all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Heritage Village Nursing Home and Vital Care Hospice for their compassion and care during this time.
Pallbearers: Trenton Sanchez- Buck, Lee Andrews , Bryson Andrews, Quinton Buck, Derick Dalton and Zach Laurent Viewing will be held Saturday, April 11th from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Sunday, April 12th from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Wake services will be held Sunday, April 12th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13th, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Many Springs Baptist Church in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Pastor Curtis Kinney officiating assisted by Pastor John Moppin.
Services will be provided by Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
