Service Held for Lani Radke
LaNita Kayrl ‘Lani’ Radke passed away in San Bernardino, California on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the age of 73 years.
Lani was the daughter of Harmon Adair and Kayrl Lea (Sawyer) Adair, born on August 2, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Following where her father was stationed with the U.S. Navy, she was brought up and attended schools in various places, living for a time in Indonesia, Washington State, and southern California. She met Michael R. Radke in southern California and they were married on September 6, 1969, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Corona, California for more than thirty years, where Lani worked for Weiner Steel as an accountant for fifteen years, and Michael worked as an engineer for Pacific Bell. Michael retired early due to disability in 1992 and they moved to Holdenville in 1993, where they very much enjoyed taking their wave runner out on Holdenville Lake as often as possible. They attended the First Church of God. Michael passed away on June 28, 2006, and Lani remained in Holdenville. She assisted with the family business, the very popular Adair’s Drive In. She enjoyed crafts, especially macrame and beading necklaces and other jewelry. She was a member of a bowling league and loved bowling with several friends, and she was almost never seen without her diet Dr. Pepper in her hand. She moved in 2015 to Mentone, California to be near her family and granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harmon Adair, her mother, Kayrl Lea McGirt, and her husband of 36 years, Michael R. Radke.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George & Denice Radke, and granddaughter Kaitlin Radke, all of Redlands CA; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Patty & Bud Bowman of Holdenville, Pam & Gary Foster of Katy TX, and Kelly & Kent Hughes of Garden Grove CA; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
