Sharon Kay ‘Mammy’ Pierce passed from this life and joined her granddaughter, China Kay Pierce, on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the age of 72 years.
Sharon was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma on February 16, 1954, to JC Stevens & Freda Brynt. She grew up in Ada and Oklahoma City. She was married to Sam Pierce on July 13, 1973, in Gainesville, Texas. They made their home and raised their family in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Sharon, lovingly known as ‘Mammy’, is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Sam Pierce, of the home; her sons, Steve Pierce & wife Amanda, and Mack Pierce & wife Serinity; her daughters, Tammy Pierce, and Miranda Fent & husband Patrick; ten grandchildren: Kadence Pierce, Jaxson Pierce, Sammy Pierce, Amanda Shaw, Rowen Pierce, Salem Pierce, Morrigan Pierce, Karine Fent, and Kaylen Fent; four great-grandchildren: Lucas, Charlie, Leiam, and Jazimaine; other relatives and many friends.
Mammy loved her baby “Princess”, her pop, and her sweets. She loved going shopping at the Goodwill, spending time with her family and grandchildren, having Papi decorate her yard and their home for all the holidays and buying all kinds of decorations for every holiday occasion to decorate their home with. She absolutely loved her pictures hanging everywhere of all her kids and grandchildren, along with all her DVD collection & what-knots. She would have us all on missions sometimes looking for treasures at the Goodwill or Hobby Lobby and Her favorite tv show was QVC, also looking for certain treasures she wanted.
Graveside services will be held and Mammy will be laid to rest at Holdenville Cemetery at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Rev. Dane Robinson is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Steve Pierce, Sammy Pierce, Jaxson Pierce, Amanda Pierce, Leon Key, and Sam Pierce.
Viewing at the funeral home will be Monday, March 23, 10:00am to 6:00pm.
