Our sympathy is extended to the family of Herbert (Hub) Lee Sneed
Herbert (Hub) Lee Sneed of Wewoka, OK, passed from this life on August 9, 2023. He was born in Calvin, OK, August 3, 1929 to the late Liss and Beulah Sneed and was raised in the Calvin area.
He married Venita Tollett Sneed on October 5th, 1949 in Holdenville, OK. They would have celebrated their 70th year anniversary the year of her passing. They were of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and always turned to God in all life situations.
Herbert is survived and loved by his children Noel Sneed and wife, Patricia, of Wewoka, Danny Sneed of Oklahoma City, Enita Wilkes and husband, Steve, of Holdenville, Treasa Cothran and husband, Rick, of Choctaw, and Stanley Sneed and wife Dana of Chandler, OK. Also, he is survived by his brother John Sneed and wife, Harriet, of Wewoka, OK. Sisters: Betty Sneed of Fort Worth, TX, Cleta Parks of Granbury, TX, Barbara Goodwin of Seminole, OK, Lissa Cross and husband, Buster, of Seminole, OK.
Herbert is also survived and loved by 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren, as well as 2 more on the way. He is loved and will be missed by the Tollett family that always treated him like a brother. He will also be missed by lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and a daughter Connie Chambers. Also, preceding him in death is one sister, Billie Barnes, and 5 brothers, Dot Sneed, Jack Sneed, Orval Sneed, Brownie Sneed, and Darrell Sneed. Viewing will be 9:00am-7:00pm, Saturday, August 12th and 1:00pm-5:00pm, Sunday, August 13th at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Calvin Cemetery in Calvin, OK. At 10:00 Monday, August 14th,2023 with Brother Larry Chesser officiating. Pallbearers are the grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are the great grandsons.
After services there will be a dinner at the Legacy Church, 310 North Echo in Holdenville.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
