Our sympathy is extended to the family of Brent Lee Harjo (Opie)

Brent Lee Harjo (Opie) passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 in California at the age of 37 years old.

Opie was born July 8, 1988 in Ada, Oklahoma to Lewis Wayne Harjo and Janie Ann (Faulkner) Harjo. He attended Holdenville High School. Opie enjoyed fishing, listening to music and drawing. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Opie is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Janie Harjo; grandparents, James and Elsie Faulkner, and Amos and Louise Harjo; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his brothers, Eric Harjo and wife Timilee of Gallup, New Mexico, Grant Harjo of Holdenville, and Blaine Harjo of Holdenville; nieces, Koi Harjo, Taryn Harjo, Mya Harjo, and Brittany Harjo; nephews, Zackery Harjo, Carson Harjo, and Creason Harjo; paternal aunts, Estell Herrod of Calvin, and Leona Herrod of Calvin; paternal uncle Amos Harjo of Cyril; maternal aunts and uncles, Lucille Farber of Holdenville, Teresa Conley and husband David of Chickasha, Tony Faulkner and wife Mona of Holdenville, Danny Faulkner of Wewoka, and Terry Faulkner of Holdenville. Opie is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be 1:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 24th, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Wednesday, February 25th, at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville. At 4:00pm Wednesday, February 25th, Brent will be taken to Tookparfka Baptist Church for the Wake service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be 1:30 pm Thursday, February 26th, at Tookparfka Baptist Church in Calvin with Rev. Josh Downing, Moderator, Rev. John Moppin and Rev. Eddie Gooden will be officiating. Interment will follow at Tookparfka Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chaz Kalinich, Jimmie Wood, Lance Farber, Kevin Farber, Kevin Lowe, James Jimboy, Mitchell Harjo, Robert Harrison, Zackery Harjo, Benny Sowell, Jamie Yahola and Dakota Fish.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
