HOLDENVILLE CITY COUNCIL TABLES DISCUSSION ON NEW CURB FOR LOCAL RESTAURANT

Body
The Holdenville City Council met on Tuesday to discuss several business items, including a proposal for a new curb at the recently opened restaurant, “The Shop.” While the discussion focused on improving parking for the new business, the council raised concerns about how the curb could affect the surrounding area. One of the primary concerns, voiced by former City Manager Larry Mitchel, was the potential impact a new curb could have on street drainage. City Attorney Matt Peters echoed these concerns, stating that more guidance and a formal set of plans are needed before any construction can begin.
