A proposed bill from the Oklahoma State Senate would prohibit the Oklahoma Health Care Authority from covering medically necessary services, instead only covering “educationally necessary services” for students with special needs.

Early voting begins Thursday, February 6th Special Allen Public School (Proposition) for voters in Hughes County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.

At the recent Holdenville City Council meeting, officials discussed progress on addressing requirements outlined in the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) Consent Order, Case No. 24-030. The meeting marked the completion of an engineering report by Parkhill, fulfilling Task C of the Consent Order and guiding the city on essential projects for achieving compliance with its wastewater treatment obligations.

Seminole State College has released the names of honor roll students for the 2024 fall semester. Three separate honor rolls recognize students for their academic achievements.
