Billboard chart-topping composer/arranger Kitt Wakeley’s new orchestral album, An Adoption Story, has received a GRAMMY Award nomination for “Best Classical Compendium.” Nominated for the Award is Wakeley along with Starr Parodi and Jeff Fair. The 65th annual ceremony will take place on Feb. 5 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The Food Bank for December will be held on the Monday, December 19 at the First Baptist Church Activity Center, 324 N. Broadway, Holdenville. The event starts at 5:00 p.m.

The United States is at crisis level on the amount of stray dogs and cats all across the nation. All rescues are full. HALO was unable to transport any in November to Iowa because there was no room. All of this is caused by people not spaying and neutering their dogs. The Holdenville Animal Shelter is way past capacity.

Pictured above is Fairview graduate Alton Winningham whose father served as superintendent at the Fairview school for many years and was loved by everyone. Alton is shown with an annual from the 1940’s when his dad was serving as superintendent.
