TIME TO PREPARE FOR SPRING BRUSH AND LIMB PICKUP

City of Holdenville Street Commissioner Jim Thetford reminds residents that the annual City-wide brush and limb pickup will begin on March 1. He encourages everyone to spend time during the next couple of weeks pruning trees and shrubs in preparation for spring, as well as clearing away dead limbs and branches that have fallen during the winter.

WOLVERINE BOYS WHIP ATOKA AND KINGSTON The Holdenville Boys’ Basketball team earned two impressive wins this past week. The boys whipped Atoka 86-34 and Kingston 58-53.
COACH LESLIE PHILLIPS-CARTE’S 7&8 GRADE GIRL’S BASKETBALL TEAM HAS WON 12 GAMES THIS SEASON. The girls paused from their winning ways to pose for a team picture. A number of years ago, in a small town not far away, our family had the good fortune to attend a small country church. At the time, our congregation met in a 100-year-old church building located in a cow pasture out in the country.
