The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Health will offer a community vaccination event at the Creek Nation Casino – Holdenville on Wednesday, May 26. Appointments will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The casino is located at 211 E. Willow.
The May 2021 distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from March business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. The monies they reported this period represent sales from March 16th to 31st and estimated sales from April 1st to the 15th.

The Holdenville Animal Lover’s Organization (HALO) will be once again be hosting their annual fundraising “Spay-ghetti and No Balls” Dinner with Silent Auction on Friday, June 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. This is the organizations largest benefit of the year, and they are hoping for an exceptionally large turn out after the COVID-19 virus prevented last year’s event.
