HOLDENVILLE GIRLS DEFEAT BEGGS IN OVERTIME The Holdenville girls won a thriller at Beggs. The girls pulled off a late rally and sank key buckets when they needed them.

Early voting begins Thursday, February 5th for voters in Hughes County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.

Remembering Pido

I always thought it to be a strange name- “Pido”. His 4-letter first nama had began its regular appearance in our church bulletins soon after Pearl Harbor had been attacked by the Japanese and sometime later we learned he was a prisoner of war. Pido’s family was well known and prominent in the Centrahoma area and the word we received about these poor prisoners was not good.

January 6, 2026 Holdenville Lions Club met at Boom a rang Diner for their regular breakfast meeting. The meeting was called to order by President, Lion Theresa Barkhimer. She asked for the flag salute and invocation.
