The Holdenville Wolverines traveled to Davis last Friday and played the Wolves for the district championship. The first half was a defensive struggle and the second half was just the opposite.
The captains for the game at Davis were....# 30, Bo Black, # 52, Arron Torres, # 60, Alyc Harjo and # 7, Brett Bruner.

The Board of Education of Holdenville Public School District hereby announces that statutorily qualified individuals interested in running as a candidate for the #1 seat which has a 5-year term on the Holdenville Board of Education may file to run as a candidate for one of these seats at the Hughes County Election Board between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday, December 1, 2025, through Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

Holdenville Lions Club met at Boom a rang Diner for their regular breakfast meeting. The meeting was called to order by new President, Lion Theresa Barkhimer. She asked for the flag salute and invocation then introduced the guests, OK Lion District Governor Nancy Wood and her husband Neal. Nancy spoke about upcoming events in our Lions District and a new award honoring Jim Sullivan, a former District Governor.

Move Over Fatso She wasn’t all that fat. At least not in the way we think of “fat” today. But she was a little bit wide and over on me. But I was firmly seated on my number and holding my space. Finally, she and her fat mate swapped seats, but it solved nothing since, collectively, they still occupied the same amount of space. It gets a little worse every year as it gets harder and harder for us to squeeze our ever-widening rears into these nonwidening seats.
