Nytosha Pauline ‘Tosh’ Lester passed away at her home in Holdenville on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the age of 39 years. Tosh was the daughter of Marvin and Donna (Cole) Hart, born on February 22, 1983, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Dave and Jumper Ingram were taken on a 50th anniversary vacation to Hawaii by two of their children: Russell and Tracey Ingram and children Reagan and Landon; Kelsey and T.J. Ingram and daughter Emerson. They stayed on the island of Maui for eight days and while there they took the Road to Hana tour with stops at a black sand beach for swimming, went to an authentic luau and went snorkeling. They spent a lot of time on the beach playing in the water. They also visited a lavender farm on their last day. A great time was had by all attendees. CANDIDATES FILE TO RUN FOR HOLDENVILLE CITY COUNCIL IN APRIL

The stage is set for another city council election in Holdenville on April 4 of this year with nine candidates filing to run for the 5 seats which will be vacated at the time of the election. Aeric Creekmore, Ron Thetford, and Julie West have filed to run for Ward 1, David Leewright will face Tony Wulf in the Ward 2 race, Mike Dockrey is unopposed and set to take the Ward 3 seat at the Council table, as well as Don Merriman who drew no opponent for the Ward 4 seat.

Saundra Ann Yaggi passed away January 3rd, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born, March 22, 1942 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to Stanley and Veneta Middleton. Her 80 years were full of love, dedication and devotion. She proved early in childhood to have a strong and beautiful heart, giving an abundance of love and care to her widowed mother and baby sister. As a young woman, she dedicated herself to raising her daughters in a household full of singing, and sewing matching outfits. She had a long career as a Secretary at Baldwin Park Unified School District in California, and was admired for her kindness and loyalty all the way through to retirement. Halfway through her life, on October 18, 1982, Saundra married her best friend - devoting to him, her whole heart and her 40 remaining years.

According to a press release, Frank Keating, who governed Oklahoma from 1995 – 2003, is chairman of “Protect Our Kids No 820,” a coalition of com-munity, business, and law enforcement leaders.
