Holdenville hosts Wewoka Both Holdenville Basketball teams are fresh off wins in the consolation finals at the Latta Tournament and both the boys and girls hope to carryover that momentum when they play host to their number one rival, Wewoka, on Tuesday. Holdenville had a rough start in last week’s action with both teams dropping games on the road at Class 4A Mcloud and continued to drop games in the first round of the Latta Tournament.
The Holdenville High School girls’ basketball team defeated Rattan45-36 to capture the Consolation trophy at the Latta Tournament. Holdenville Police Department Continues to Improve

Council approves police radios Holdenville Police Chief Conny Clay continues to seek improvements for the Holdenville Police Department, and the Holdenville City Council is working with him to meet his requests while also recognizing the need to be financially responsible. During the December 1 City Council meeting the members returned to a discussion concerning the possible purchase of radios and radar equipment for police vehicles that had been placed on the agenda of the previous agenda.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Olivo of Holdenville are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Ashley, of Norman, to Jimmy Morrow, of Ardmore. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gann of Lamar and Alice Olivo and the late Marvin Olivo of Holdenville. Ashley is a 2001 graduate of Holdenville High School, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. She currently works at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.
