Deadline to Request Absentee Ballots Nears

For registered voters in Hughes County to apply for absentee ballots to be mailed to them for the November 3rd General Election, County Election Board Secretary Brandy Davis said today. Applications for absentee ballots must be received by the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m.

Voter Registration Deadline is October 9th

Friday, October 9th, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the November 3rd General Election Hughes, County Election Board Secretary Brandy Davis said today.

Brush pick-up begins

The annual Fall brush and limbs pickup begins this week in section one, which includes the area bordered by Highway 48 (Main Street/Broadway of America) on the east side, Oakridge Road on the south side, Spaulding Road on the west side and of Highway 270 on the north side.

Two state questions will appear on the November 3 general election ballot. State Question 805 was placed on the ballot by gathering signatures from citizens; State Question 814 was referred to a vote of the people by the Oklahoma Legislature.
