1929 OLD NEWS Public Invited to Attend Breeding ceremonies Sunday The public is cordially invited to attend the services Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock in the Methodist church at which time the distinguished service cross awarded posthumously to Lieut. Dick B. Breeding will be presented to the dead hero’s mother, Paul Heady commander of the Thomas Breeding post of the American Legion, pointed out this afternoon.

HSPS Offers Beginners Workshop for Acrylic Painting

The Holdenville Society of Painter and Sculptors (HSPS) announces a one-day workshop to teach be-ginning acrylic painting techniques to be held August 17, 2023. This class will support beginners who have never picked up acrylic paint or have a little experience and will be a great opportunity to meet, greet, and learn! The class will be from 9:00am to 4:00pm with a light lunch served to the class. Call the HSPS at 405-379-7079 for the supply list and other information. Some items will be provided by the instructor.

HCIC Back to School Bash

The Holdenville Indian Community is hosting a Back to School Bash on Monday, August 7 from 6pm to 8pm. The event is for students from Kindergarten through 12th Grade and you must have a MCN Tribal ID and live within HCIC boundaries. There will be free haircuts, pizza, drinks and we will be drawing for gift cards. Don’t miss this fun-filled event!
