William “Johnny” Gerald Freeman passed away Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 at his home in Sasakwa, Oklahoma at the age of 75. Johnny was born November 26th, 1947 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Charles Napoleon Freeman and Freda Victoria (Cathey) Freeman. Johnny graduated from Sasakwa High School. He excelled in baseball during his high school years. Johnny worked as a pumper in the oil and gas industry. He loved his family and friends Johnny is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Freda Freeman, brothers; Russell, Lou, Benny and Jimmy Freeman. He is survived by his children; Kristi Milligan of Norman, Jennifer Economou of Yukon and Christopher Freeman of Houston, numerous grandchildren, and sister Lucille Gravlee of Enid. Johnny is survived by numerous other family and friends. Memorial service will be 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Harvest Time Church with Gail Beck officiating. Gathering meal will be served before the service at 5:00 P.M. at the church.

Jonathan Adam Cook age 32, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 in Norman, OK. He was born April 26, 1991 in Ada, OK to Donald Cook and Amanda (Tiger) Cook.

Larry Leon Weger passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 in Hot Springs, Arkansas at the age of 72. Larry was born July 11, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ishmael Weger and Florene (Carter) Weger.

Kevin Shawn Deere passed away Sunday, July 16th, 2023 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 48. Kevin was born March 31, 1975 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Benjamin Deere and Wanda (Cox) Deere.

Michael Gerald Hightower passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2023 at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 73. Mike was born March 27, 1950 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Gerald B.

Dale Franklin Cherry, 86, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home in Madill. He was born on May 23, 1937, in Yeager, Oklahoma to the late Clarence Cherry and Nellie Rogers Cherry. Dale was raised in Hughes County and graduated from Moss High School in 1956. After high school he joined the United States Air Force where he served for 2 ½ years in Japan. Dale married Saundra Sue Summy on April 17, 1959, in Holdenville. He worked for Boeing Corporation for 32 years before retiring in 1992 when he moved to Kingston. Dale later moved to Madill in 2000 where he lived the rest of his life. He was a member of the Madill First Baptist Church, and he enjoyed raising cattle, fishing, hunting, and building fences with the Hartin brothers.

Hazel “Iwana” Stewart passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 94. Iwana was born August 14, 1928 in Holdenville to Hobert Carpenter and Goldie (Wade) Carpenter.

DeEtta Wardlow passed away at her home in Holdenville on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the age of 80 years. DeEtta was the daughter of John William Grizzle and Mary Etta (Saunders) Grizzle, born on October 5, 1942, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where she was brought up and attended schools.

Michele Lou Bruner passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 in Arlington,Texas at the age of 49. Michele was born November 12, 1973 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Leon Alex Bruner and Dianna Jane (Orphan) Bruner. Michele graduated from Wewoka High School. She was an amazing mother and homemaker. Michele had a beautiful smile, very smart and a great sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, movies, music, cooking, and cleaning. Michele was a very hard worker. She loved her family and friends. Most of all she was beautiful inside and out. Michele lived for her kids and grandkids.

Judy Wilene Sneed-Eagon passed away on June 20, 2023 in Lawton, OK, at the age of 75. Judy was born on February 15, 1948 in Holdenville, OK to Elmer and Maudie Faye (Hinds) McCabe. Judy enjoyed reading, watching crime shows and listening to music. She enjoyed thrift store and garage sale shopping. Judy enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and lake time. Judy especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and dogs.
