Frances Marie Grimes passed away Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 at Heritage Village Nursing Center in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 83. Marie was born September 22, 1939 in Spaulding, Oklahoma to Garfield Eugene Babb and Naomi Ruth (Venable) Robins.

Travis Neal Evans passed away Wednesday September 13, 2023, at his home in Ada, Oklahoma, at the age of 34. Travis was born March 8, 1989, in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Roger Lynn Evans and Sheryl (Kirby) Evans.

John Wesley Sneed, 83 years old, of Wewoka, Oklahoma passed away at his home. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and had attended the Wewoka Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1964. He was born in Calvin, Oklahoma and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was preceded in death by his parents Liss and Bula Sneed, six brothers, and one sister. He was also preceded in death by one son and one daughter. He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Harriett Sneed, three sons and their wives, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and four sisters.

Carol Lee Webber passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 79. Carol was born January 10, 1944 in Winfield, Kansas to Wallace Barnes and Edith (Winters) Barnes.

Jimmy Dale Morris passed away on June 04, 2023 at age of 80 years. He was born in Downey California on May 08, 1943. He was the son of Henry Oxford Morris and Lucille Alta Camp. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Pamela Susanne Morris- Owens.

Betty Ruth Johnson passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Heritage Village Nursing Center in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 84. Betty was born December 7, 1938, in Tupelo, Oklahoma to Dee Iverson Hyatt and Ruth Aline Cannon Hyatt.

Jane Ann Hill passed from this mortal coil on June 23, 2023 at the great age of 80. She was a proud resident of Wetumka, but her circle included our dear Holdenville, Yeager, and Lamar as well. She is survived by her husband Wesley Hill who is well known in these parts. She is also survived by her very loud and gregarious children, Christy Sanders of Tulsa and Robert Sanders of St. Petersburg, Florida; Her sweet granddaughter Baylee Adams and even sweeter great granddaughter Sydney Adams of Orlando, Florida. She was predeceased by her younger brother James Duncan of Norman; she is survived by four sisters, Barbara Smith of Gulfport, Mississippi, Peggy Davis of Holdenville, Liz Duncan of Edmond, and Nancy Roche of Edmond, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Larry Arnold Ervin passed away at his home in Holdenville on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the age of 70 years. Larry was the son of Coy & Myrtle (Hayes) Ervin, born on October 6, 1952, in Oildale, California.

Harold Gene (HG) Leach passed from this life July 18, 2023 at his home in Okemah. Harold was born April 17, 1939 to Bill and Jewel Smith Leach at Seminole, OK where he lived until he was nine years old. The family then moved to the Bethel community north of Holdenville. Several years later they moved to the Little River area south of Holdenville. He graduated from Atwood High School.

Our sympathy is extended to the family of Herbert (Hub) Lee Sneed Herbert (Hub) Lee Sneed of Wewoka, OK, passed from this life on August 9, 2023. He was born in Calvin, OK, August 3, 1929 to the late Liss and Beulah Sneed and was raised in the Calvin area.
