Mary Ella Crawford Marrs passed away Monday September 30, 2024. She was 88 years old. Mary was born in Lamar, Oklahoma on May 8th, 1936. She was raised on a farm in Lamar by her parents along with eight siblings.

James Ray Simmons passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his home in Calvin, Oklahoma at the age of 80. James was born February 23, 1944, in Stigler, Oklahoma to Bill Simmons and Lillian Lanora (Walker) Simmons.

Joyce Jeanne Haight, 97, of Eufaula passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Joyce was born on August 20, 1927, in Holdenville, OK.

Lyndall Medford Robertson was born onAugust 12, 1923 and went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2024. Graveside services will be held at Calvin Cemetery on Friday, September 27th, at 2:00 PM, officiated by Garrett Napier, under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.

Claretta Faye Baker passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 68. Claretta was born August 6, 1956 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Herman Travis and Christine Marie (Brown) Travis.

Visitation has been scheduled from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, September 24, 2024 in the Leonard-Marker Funeral Home. Wake services will begin at 7 P.M. Wednesday, Sept. 25 in the Salt Creek Methodist Church and funeral services will be held on Thursday Sept. 26 at 10:30 A.M. also in the Salt Creek Methodist Church, located 8 miles north of Holdenville on highway 48.

Patsy Sue Gentry passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the age of 84 years. Patsy was the daughter of Eley and Hattie (Snellings) Eggar, born on August 16, 1940, in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Sammie Dean Mathis passed away Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 at his home in Atwood, Oklahoma at the age of 82. Sammie was born July 29, 1942 in Atwood, Oklahoma to Gus “Toots” Dean Mathis and Eupha Glee (Chaffin) Mathis.

Sybal Jean Prince, 84, of Ada, Oklahoma passed away September 10, 2024 in her home. Sybal was born on October 13th 1939 in McAlester, Oklahoma to her parents, Winford Winfield Whittington and Bessie Lorine Whittington. Sybal went to Stonewall High School and later obtained her GED. In the summer of 1955 in Hobbs New Mexico, Sybal married the love of her life, Clarence William Prince. They shared forty two loving years together until Clarence’s passing in April of 1997. Sybal loved the Lord with all of her heart, her life was a testament to that. She attended the Church of God in Ada for many years, and taught an adult sunday school class for forty three years. She and her husband, Clarence, sang and played in a gospel blue grass band called the Moonlighters. Sybal played the guitar and sang while Clarence played the fiddle. She could yodel, too! She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Curtis DeWayne Pack passed away at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Friday, August 30, 2024, two days before his 68th birthday. Curtis was the son of Bill & Pattie (Luna) Pack, born in Holdenville on September 1, 1956.
