Dawnyal Graham Hill, 52 left this world on August 17, 2025.
Dawnyal Kayleen Graham was born on June 20, 1973 in Holdenville, OK to Donald and Gwendylyn Graham.
She graduated from Holdenville High School in 1991 with honors. After graduation she attended OSU, later obtaining her Bachelors in Broadcasting and Journalism at Cameron University.
She married Jeffrey Hill on June 21, 2002 in Holdenville, to this marriage they had 3 children; Lillian Hill, William Hill and Nathaniel Hill.
She worked many years at Holdenville Daily News, Eufaula Indian Journal and the McAlester News Capital for the last 12 years. She received the Oklahoma Press Association award in newspaper design.
Dawnyal was very active volunteer at the Annual Woody Guthrie Festival for over 25 years. She had a passion for music and enjoyed going to concerts and music festivals. She was a Hughes County Girl Scout Troop Leader for 35 years and enjoyed attending girl scout activities, especially the camps.
She was a very dedicated mother, enjoyed attending music festivals with her children and quality time with them. She also adored her companion, Galena.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Graham; two uncles David Graham and Albert Graham; and one aunt Joann.
She is survived by her children, Lillian, William and Nathaniel; her mother, Gwen and spouse Ron Miller of Carson; two brothers, Jeremy Graham and wife, Amanda of Lamar; Dustin Graham and wife, Jessica of Lawton; two uncles Paul Jones and wife, Denise of Holdenville; Bruce and wife, Betsy of Texas; three aunts Ruby Bevelhymer and husband, Earl of Wewoka; Jerretta Cook of Wewoka and Cheryl Graham of Lamar. A host of other relatives and friends. Dawnyal was a giving soul, she always had a beautiful smile and a loving heart to give everyone. Services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 4 p.m. at the Lamar Community Center under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home. Pall Bearers will be Oda Jones, Speedy Gonzalez, James Westwood, Christopher Epperley, TJ Morrison and Ricky Allen.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Dustin Graham, Jeremy Graham, William Hill and Nathaniel Hill.
