Bobby Lee Cathey

On Monday, November 21, 2022, Bobby Lee Cathey went home to be with his Lord. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 2nd, at 3:00 P.M. at Holdenville Cemetery, under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.

He was born January 7, 1942 in Checotah, Oklahoma to John Ed and Ora Lee (Cook) Cathey. He attended McAlester Public School and graduated from Savanna High School with the Class of 1961. He served with the U.S. Navy. He retired from POS of Oklahoma in 2005 after 41 years of Linework. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of McAlester. He married Gayla Noreen Walker Harris April 16, 1998 in Van Buren, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife Gayla of the home; motherin- law Golden Ruth Skinner Walker; brother Johnny Ray Cathey; grandson Tarrant King and wife Andrea; great-granddaughter Laila; son-inlaw David King; special cousins Patricia Bess Pool and Vicki Bess Bowman; and Aunt Betty Cathey Bogie. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Annette King, and niece Janet Cathey.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tarrant King, Cody Mauldin, Jeff Razo, Earl Shackleford and Gary Wansick.
