Janice Gray of the Eastern Oklahoma Publishing Company announced Monday that the Holdenville News has been sold to Robinson Publishing Company of Holdenville.

The Holdenville Chamber of Com merce and Agriculture welcomed Open Arms Fellowship to the business community with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, July 31. Holdenville Public Schools will be moving the start of school from August 13, 2020 to August 20, 2020 to ensure all safety measures are in place and allow staff to prepare for any virtual learning for the upcoming school year.

The Holdenville Water Department crew tackled yet another large water line leak last week. Mayor John Massad explains that the leak was in a water line on Kelkar Street that was next to another recent patch that was visible when they began the repair, and close to yet another, earlier repair.

The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) Bloodmobile will soon be returning to Holdenville, setting up at the Holdenville General Hospital from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. August 10 and at the First National Bank and Trust from 9 a.m.– 12:15 p.m. August 13.
