Local Business, Alpaca Madness, drew a huge crowd for the kick off of the Holdenville Library’s Summer Reading Program. Holdenville Stroup Parked was busy with Alpaca lovers looking for a cuddle and many strokes of softness.

All Oklahomans drive on the same roads and can access the same public-school system. But thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court’s McGirt ruling, some Oklahomans may no longer pay to fund those systems, creating increased financial burdens for everyone else.

1864: Arlington National Cemetery is established. The cemetery was created on land around Arlington Mansion, which had formerly belonged to Confederate general Robert E. Lee that was confiscated during the Civil War. Originally built for Civil war dead, it became the final resting place of many of the soldiers who fought in America’s wars.
