The Holdenville Lions Club began the new year in good fashion. Our first meeting saw us celebrate our Tail Twister – Lion Leon Barrett’s birthday. He was plenty-nine years old on Jan. 2, 2024. He said he was almost the New Years baby, but it just didn’t work out.

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Michael David Patton, age 31, of Holdenville, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 210 months in prison for one count of Murder in Indian Country— Second Degree.

New trash service in Holdenville under GFL is set to begin Thursday, February 1. Collection of residential trash will continue on your normal service day, once a week. HOLDENVILLE RECEIVES $1 MILLION DOLLAR GRANT FROM WATER RESOURCES BOARD

OKLAHOMA CITY – The City of Holdenville (City) received approval for $1,000,000 in funding Tuesday from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the City’s water infrastructure. Construction of upgrades and improvements to the water system will be financed by the Oklaho-ma American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant program.

Holdenville, OK - In a pivotal move to secure the future of Holdenville Hospital, the Holdenville Hospital Authority convened to address the imminent expiration of the 1 cent sales tax used to operate the city’s hospital, set to expire on June 30. The resolution to renew this critical tax was a focal point of the discussion during the recent meeting.
