Outrage Over Max Lucado Shows There Is No Room For Dissent In LGBT Church Politics

Body
If a “nicest guy in the world” award was given to famous American pastors, few would disagree New York Times best-selling author Max Lucado should find himself toward the front of that line. He’s the consummate cuddly bear whose central message is God’s boundless and unmerited grace for all people, regardless of their story. This is the hallmark of his ministry and life. It oozes from his pulpit and the pages of his books. He speaks of it in a thousand different ways, always seeking to help people understand this glorious truth from yet another creative, illuminating angle.

Good morning to you. Hope you made it through all the snow and ice. It was the coldest and most snow that I ever remember. Sure makes me appreciate the sunshine! Have you ever had blurred vision? One word sums up a one’s gradual inability to distinguish letters as they decrease in size: blurriness. There are many reasons the eyes can lose their 20/20 ranking, such a cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, macular degeneration, and more. Fortunately, we have eye doctors that can determine where our problem is and get us some new glasses so that we can focus on what we try to see.

Congratulation to Waylon Ford

Body
You may have seen him around town. You may even know his name. You may have met him while camping at the lake but a few people actually know how much Waylon Ford does for this community. This newspaper is not quite sure when Waylon sleeps because while he is sometimes off the clock, he is never off the job. He is our lake superintendent, is now tending to the cemetery duties, and assists on water leaks all over town. There is nothing that he won’t do. Waylon will be the first to tell you that he does not do his job for the paycheck but out of his love for this town and its people. Next time you see Waylon out at the lake or digging a grave or ankle deep in water on the side of the road with a shovel in his hand give him a big thank you, for he truly deserves to be our citizen of the week!
