The following is the resignation letter from former Police Chief, Conny Clay to the City of Holdenville: To Whom It May Concern: This letter is to notify you that my last day as Chief of Police of Holdenville will be October 1, 2021. This decision was not an easy one to make and I apologize for the short notice.
Holdenville Police Chief, Conny Clay resigned effective Friday, October 1, with two more officers resigning with him. It left the town with no police on patrol part of the weekend. The city is currently contract with the Hughes County Sheriff’s Department to cover protection of Holdenville while the city police department is down to only three officers.

Wolverine Football Player of the Week

The Holdenville Wolverine softball team had a productive week! The Ladies began the week with wins over Sasakwa and Okemah and finished the week with a two game sweep over Heavener to win the district championship. Holdenville had solid wins over Heavener. The Wolverines won 9-2 in the first game and completed the sweep with a 9-1 win.
Sawyer Jeffrey has been chosen as the Wolverine of the week.

Holdenville Fall Festival this Saturday

FALL FESTIVAL AND CAR SHOW – Classic cars and interesting vendors will once again fill the streets of downtown Holdenville this Saturday, October 2. The Fall Festival will officially kick off with the Fall Festival Parade at 10:00 a.m., and the car show entries will remain parked along Main and Broadway for the public’s viewing pleasure until 3:00 p.m. Vendors will provide delicious food, art and crafts, and plenty of other unique items for sale. Live music, mechanical bull riding, and other entertainment will offer something for everyone in the family.
