Softball Crazy! The state of Oklahoma has gone softball crazy! The Sooners are national champions and the Oklahoma State Cowboys narrowly missed a chance to play for the national title! Rogers State won the NCAA Division 2 national championship! Oklahoma City University won the NAIA championship! My first experience with fast pitch softball came in 1984 when Prague called and asked me to umpire an Invitational tournament. I had umpired a great deal of summer slow pitch games and this would be my first experience with fast pitch.
Cheyenne Fixico was presented with an All-State Plaque at the awards banquet. Fixico played for the winning team from the East! Cheyenne went 1-2 at the plate, with RBI and then later scored a run in her team’s 7-5 victory.
