The Holdenville and Meeker football fans certainly got their money’s worth last Friday!

The fans who waited patiently for their turn to go through the extra security before they could even buy their ticket would have to say the game was worth the extra hassle. Both teams played hard and gave it all they had but as it always is there has to be a winner.

This time Meeker came out on top! The tables were turned last year. Holdenville won last year’s thrilling game at Meeker in overtime!

The Red Hatters met on August 12 at Boom-A-Rang in Holdenville. We had a really great time playing catch-up on what was happening this summer with everyone. The Red Hats from Wetumka hosted our luncheon. Dianne Bowman became our new Chaplain offering a beautiful prayer and blessing our food. Dianne won the door prize with an assortment of goodies. She loved it all. Lynn Marquis won the game prize of 4 potholders, which she shared. Our next meeting will be hosted by Sharon Dilday and Dianne Bowman. It should be a good one!
