John Edward Maxwell passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville at the age of 75. John was born February 23, 1948 in Farmington, Maine to John Weymoth Maxwell and Laniece (Wilkins) Maxwell.

In 1966, a new family moved to our little community of Shady Grove(Our community was nestled between Irving & Grand Prairie, Texas.There were five children in this family. The oldest son attended high school at Grand Prairie. His siblings attended the dependent school where I was. Before long this high school boy asked my dad if he could date me. My dad was an evangelist who really took a liking to this young man who had lost his dad in a crop duster plane crash that very year.
