Holidays, memorials, and monuments are more important than ever for Americans as we face the infiltration of cultural Marxism and the abysmal state of American history education in our failing public school system. Only a generation or two ago, it was understood that we, in the present, stand on the shoulders of great people who came before us. John Edward Maxwell passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville at the age of 75. John was born February 23, 1948 in Farmington, Maine to John Weymoth Maxwell and Laniece (Wilkins) Maxwell.

Alice was born on December 12, 1938 and passed on February 14, 2024, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She is survived by her children, Anita Moran and husband Joe, of Idaho, Tim Tyler of Mexico, and Kevin of Oklahoma.

In 1966, a new family moved to our little community of Shady Grove(Our community was nestled between Irving & Grand Prairie, Texas.There were five children in this family. The oldest son attended high school at Grand Prairie. His siblings attended the dependent school where I was. Before long this high school boy asked my dad if he could date me. My dad was an evangelist who really took a liking to this young man who had lost his dad in a crop duster plane crash that very year.

Billy “Bill” Ray Watkins, 93, went to his heavenly home on February 1, 2024, in Paris, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on September 26, 1930, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, the son of Wesley Watkins and Mamie (Williams) Watkins.
