City Limb and Brush Pickup Begins March 1

Body
Following the Great “Snowklahomapocalypse of 2021,” the sub-zero temperatures have retreated, the snow has quickly melted, and Holdenville residents will have some warmer weather this week to finish pruning their shrubs for spring or gathering dead limbs and branches before the city-wide brush pickup begins next week on March 1.
CITY WIDE BRUSH AND LIMB PICK UP – This map shows the four sections Holdenville has been divided into for brush and limb pickup. Each week a different section will receive free, curbside brush and limb pickup service. All limbs and brush should be placed off the street between the sidewalk and the curb.

Good morning to you. Hope you have enjoyed this beautiful snow but I am ready to see dry land again. I don’t remember it ever being this cold and so many days of snow. Springtime sure sounds good now! For our Bible reading today, let’s look at John 13: verses 1-9: (1) Now before the feast of the Passover, when JESUS knew that HIS hour was come that HE should depart out of this world unto the FATHER, having loved HIS own which were in the world, HE loved them unto the end; (2) And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray HIM; (3) JESUS know that the FATHER had given all things into HIS hands, and that HE was come from GOD, and went to GOD; (4) HE riseth from supper, and laid aside HIS garments; and took a towel, and girded HIMSELF. (5) After that HE poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith HE was girded. (6) Then cometh HE to Simon Peter: and Peter said unto HIM, LORD, dost THOU wash my feet? (7) JESUS answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. (8) Peter saith to HIM, THOU shalt never wash my feet. JESUS answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with Me. (9) Simon Peter saith unto HIM, LORD, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

We’ve all seen a little kid holding on to a toy, refusing to share, and yelling “MINE!” Sometimes it’s cute but most of the time it’s annoying. We usually end up intervening, prying their little fingers from the item and telling the kid to “let go”.

He went to work for the Dept of Defense and packed up and moved to of all places a little town called 29 Palms, California in middle of the Mojave Desert. This is where he started another chapter in a storied life. That’s where he found the love of his life, his cowgirl mermaid and his loving wife of over 40 years Lisa Madden.
