Family and friends are mourning the loss of longtime Spaulding and Holdenville resident Joseph H. Marquis, who died at age 83 on Sunday, September 13th , 2020, at his home after a long illness.

ADAMS STREET TOWER REPAIR - The City of Holdenville drained the Adams Street water tower last week so the source of a leak could be located. Mayor John Massad states there were a few small holes on the floor that were patched on Monday, October 21. The tower will be refilled and returned to service until the entire floor can be upgraded next month. Citizens are asked to conserve on water as much as possible until these repairs are made.
Lennie Leola Callaway Noblett went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 11:39 AM. Lennie was born January 25, 1923 at their farm home near Moss High School. Her passing on a Sunday was an appropriate day and time as she loved the Lord and would have been in the choir singing His praises and is now in Heaven doing just that!
Mamie Dorothy Shores passed away Thursday September 17, 2020 at her home in Del City at the age of 90. Mamie was born April 5, 1930 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Rufus Jones and Dessie (Rhodes) Jones.
With fall quickly approaching, many area residents are already starting to take advantage of the cooler weather to start pruning back the summer growth. Street Commissioner Jim Thetford reminds Holdenville residents that the City of Holdenville will be providing the traditional Fall curbside pickup of brush and limbs during the month of October so they can begin planning their yard work strategy.
Debra Ann Epperley, age 68, passed away peacefully at her home with her family close by on September 1, 2020. She was born May 12, 1952, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to Mary Gwendolyn English. Debra married her high school sweetheart Hal Denny Epperley in June of 1970.
