Tell your kids once

My grandmother was a sweet lady who was a great cook, terrific baker, whistled while she worked, gardened vegetables and ruined my life once. Or so I thought.

On one of our visits to Grandma’s house, when I was about seven years old, I overheard Grandma give parenting advice to my Mom. “Jimmy doesn’t obey you the first time you tell him something. You need to fix that.”
