He was born in Manhattan, New York on October 2, 1939 to George and Olga (Santos) Gonzales. As a child he was raised in the Bronx, Astoria Queens, and Bethpage, Long Island.

Carl Eugene Pinion passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 83. Carl was born July 30, 1938 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Arthur Pinion and Frankie Marie Pinion. Carl graduated from Spaulding High School in 1957. He attended East Central University.
