Service to be Held for Lilian Roberts

Marie Sarah Lilian (Friend) Roberts passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 98.

Marie was born October 14, 1923 in Lamar, Oklahoma to Walter Joe Friend and Mamie (Adams) Friend. She graduated from Holdenville High School. Marie married Woody Russell Roberts on February 1, 1943 in Holdenville. She worked as a Switchboard Receptionist for Kewanee Oil Company. Marie is a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church in Tulsa. She was an artist and enjoyed painting, rose gardening, being outdoors, and watching nature. Marie loved to laugh, spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed music, reading God’s Word, and was a woman of beauty, grace and integrity.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Woody Roberts; twin children Bobby Lee and Barbara Ann; siblings Vernon Friend and Leon Friend; grandmother Sarah Friend, whom she dearly loved; and 3 grandchildren. She is survived by daughters; Beverly Deardorff and husband Geary of Tulsa, Vicki Roberts of Jenks, best friend Kelly Parks of Jenks, 2 grandchildren; Greg Deardorff, David Deardorff, 3 great grandchildren; Kayla Deardorff, Nathan Deardorff, Maxton Deardorff, siblings; Jane, Jeanie, Cindy, and Austin all of Stillwater. She is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be 9:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 4th, and 9:00 a.m.7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 5th, at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8th, at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville with Pastor Dane Robinson officiating and Bill Robinson assisting. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
