Queston Dwight Yarbrough passed away Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 70.
Queston was born December 30th, 1950 in Gerty, Oklahoma to Jesse Jackson Yarbrough and Ninnie Mae Woodall Elliott. He graduated from Calvin Public Schools in 1969. Queston was a self employed carpenter in the Ada area for over 50 years. Queston served in the Oklahoma National Guard for 6 years. He married Mary La-Fave February 16, 1990 in Ada, Oklahoma. Queston enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, gardening and cooking. He loved spending time with his grandkids, family and working with his brother and nephew.
Queston is preceded in death by his father, and 11 siblings. He is survived by his wife Mary of the home, step-son Shanon Dodson of Ada, daughter Michel and husband Jeff Cosby of Stratford, grandchildren; Clint Cosby, Kara King, Colton Cosby, Trevor Dodson, great grandchild Brailynn Dodson, siblings; Donnie Cox and wife Jean of Ada, Quinton Yarbrough and wife Karen of Gerty, Hilda Battershell and husband Mark of Calvin and Georgia Yarbrough of Alabama. Queston is survived by numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Rusty Hudson, Alvin Orr, Clint Cosby, Colton Cosby, Trevor Dodson and John Cox. Honorary pallbearers are Dee Moore and Jeff Cosby.
Viewing will be 4:00PM-7:00PM Tuesday, August 17th and 9:00AM-7:00PM Wednesday, August 18th at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Calvin Free Will Baptist Church with Minister Delton Tollett officiating.
Interment will follow at Calvin Cemetery.
