Our sympathies extended to the family of... Tommy Clayton

Tommy Joe Clayton entered life on this earth on December 12, 1957. He was born to Delbert and Ina (Collins) Clayton. Tommy entered his eternal life in Heaven on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 12:25 pm at the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Tommy was employed by Burlington-Northern Railroad for many years. He later worked for Hughes Gas Measurement and Save-A-Lot. He was currently employed by Central Metal Finishing.

He loved the Lord and people, loved doings things with his Kubota tractor and his Kubota Zero turn mower for people. Anything people needed him to do. Tom was the most giving, loving and unselfish person ever and so humble. He also was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Moss Community Fire Department.

Tommy loved this life, the Lord, and his three boys and their wives, Jeremy and his wife Kim, Brad and his wife Amanda, and Brooks and his wife Michele; daughter-in-law, Bonnie and fiance, Heath; his grandbabies, Sam Clayton, Alli Clayton, Caitlyn Curtis and husband Logan, Wyatt Clayton, Bryton Clayton and Emory Clayton; his mother, Ina Clayton Reams; his sister, Pam Stewart; his niece, Amber Stewart, and nephew, Jared Stewart; his wife, Sharla Clayton who loved him so very much, too; his little girls as he called them, Itsy and Eda, especially Itsy, she was always by his side when he wasn’t at work; his step-children, Jared Hull and Kaitlin Hull and step-grandbabies, Caden Hull, Delaney Hull and Thayer Hull; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Tommy enjoyed helping Rae Ann make coffee before Sunday School each Sunday morning, working in his garden, mowing his yard, growing beautiful sunflowers and zinnias, cooking on his grill and smoker, and most of all telling people about the Lord.

Tommy is preceded in death by his father, Delbert Clayton.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Sharla Clayton of the home; his mother, Ina Reams of Holdenville; sister, Pam Stewart of Wewoka; his children, Jeremy Clayton, Brad Clayton and Brooks Clayton; his grandchildren, Sam Clayton, Alli Clayton, Caitlyn Curtis and husband Logan, Wyatt Clayton, Bryton Clayton and Emory Clayton; Sharla’s children, Jared Hul and Kaitlin Hull; and Sharla’s grandchildren, Caden Hull, Delaney Hull and Thayer Hull.

Graveside service for Tommy were held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 18 th , at the Holdenville Cemetery.
