Lloyd Lee Hunter passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 61.
Lloyd was born June 14, 1963 in Bakersfield, California to Ralph Hunter and Shirley Ann (George) Hammonds. Lloyd graduated from Holdenville High School in the Class of 1981. He married Tammie Watters on January 7, 1982 at Midway Baptist Church in Wewoka. Lloyd was self-employed and a Safety Consultant in the Oilfield industry. He was a member of the 1st Assembly of God Church in Holdenville. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, shooting guns, woodworking and camping. He loved spending time with his family.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, sister Sherry Jacobs and fatherin-law Gary Brinlee.
He is survived by his wife Tammie of the home; daughters, Amy Hunter of Holdenville, and Amber Orr and husband Jayson of Holdenville; grandchildren Hunter Pearson, Tyler Orr, Logan Orr, Makayla Orr, and Orion Pointer; brothers John Hunter and wife Chris of New Mexico, Ralph E. Hunter and wife Mae of Holdenville, and Toad Watters and wife Misty of Sasakwa. Lloyd is survived by numerous other relatives and family. Funeral was 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 19th, at 1st Assembly of God Church in Holdenville with Pastor Alan Lewis officiating and assisted by Pastor David Cranfield. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hunter Pearson, Tyler Orr, Logan Orr, Orion Pointer, Jerrod Keeney, Jayson Orr and Oda Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Booth, Tye Baker, Jack Goodson, Wesley Higgins, James “Cudge” Walton, Van Burnell, Stan Templeman, Tommy Kanard, Paul Jones and John Stirman.
Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.
