Jimmie Jett
Jimmie Edward Jett passed away Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, at Elmwood Manor in Wewoka, Oklahoma at the age of 77.
Jimmie was born June 22, 1948, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Edward Jimmie Jett and Ruby Jewell (Sherrin) Jett. Jimmie graduated from Holdenville High School. Jimmie met Jerry Kaye Conley at Moss School softball field, and he was 15 and she was 14.
They married on June 23, 1965, in Neosho, Missouri. Jimmie was self-employed Mechanic. He was a member of the Hilltop Free Will Baptist Church in Wewoka. His world revolved around the love of his life, his wife, family, children, and grandchildren. He loved knowing how things worked, and fixing things. He enjoyed CB radios and electronics.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, grandchild Rowdy Griffin and sibling Pat Akin. He is survived by his wife Jerry Kaye Jett, children; Deana Hewitt and husband Edward of Council Hill, Nicki Harden and husband David of Calvin, Jimmie Jett Jr. and wife Anna of Lamar, 7 grandchildren; Travis Hewitt, Matthew Youngblood, Jared Griffin, Tyler Griffin, Colt Jett, Ashtyn Roberts , Boe Jett, 14 great grandchildren, sisters; Audra Wilson of Des Moines, Iowa and Ellen Renfrow of Seminole. Jimmie is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Travis Hewitt, Matthew Youngblood, Jared Griffin, Tyler Griffin, Colt Jett, Ashtyn Roberts and Boe Jett.
Memorial service was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at Hilltop Free Will Baptist in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Pastor Sam Ketcher officiating with Jimmie Jett Jr. assisting. Services under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
