James Roger Evans

James Roger Evans passed away Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at his home in Eufaula, Oklahoma at the age of 77.

Roger was born September 7th, 1944 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to James Henry Evans and Mildred (Neal) Evans. Roger graduated from Spaulding Public School. He married Linda Price September 14, 1989 in Gainesville, Texas. Roger was a phone repair man for AT&T for 32 years when he retired. He enjoyed making cabinets, riding his Harley Davidson, golfing, and going to the lake. Roger loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda Evans, daughter Shelley Pruitt Sexton and siblings; Eddie Evans, Carnell Evans and Donnie Evans. He is survived by his children; Roger L. Evans of Castle, Cynthia Parker of Eufaula, Scotty Evans and wife Leila of Chickasha, Christopher Hearld of Fresno, CA, Brian Hearld and wife Kammy of Cadillac, MI, 15 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Roger is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Travis Evans, Levi Parker, Jake Evans, Brian Hearld, Kameron Hearld, Luke Pruitt, Ben Pruitt and Jeremy Walton. Honorary pallbearers are Stud Walton, Mike Grove, Joey Youngblood, Tony Reed, Butch Youngblood, Mace Anthony and Donald King

Viewing will be 5:00 PM-7:00 PM Monday, March 21st and 9:00 AM-7:00 PM Tuesday, March 22nd at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Gene Holliman officiating.

Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
