Charles Stephen “Steve” Sims Laid to Rest

Charles Stephen 'Steve' Sims age 80 of Lenoir City passed away May 23, 2023. He was a member of First Baptist Church Lenoir City and longtime Bible teacher. Steve retired from ORNL after 31 years of service as a nuclear physicist. Preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Freda Sims. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Dana Cummings Sims; children: Danae Sims Ryan (Jeff), Stacy Sims Jones (Todd), and Brent Allen Sims (Katherine); grandchildren: Tara Brook Ryan, Autumn Nicole Ryan, Gavin Walker Jones, Andie-Marie Jones, Macguire Stephen Jones, Braden Garrett Sims, Aminee Rae Sims, Jenna Noel Sims, and Raleigh Nicole Sims. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 28th at First Baptist Church Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
