In a letter to the City Council, Fire Chief Shelton Foster announced his retirement from the Holdenville Fire Department after 25 years with the department. The letter reads: 2-21-2023 “Hello, It has been an honor and privilege to serve this community I call home.

The Holdenville City Council is scheduled to meet for a regularly scheduled meeting on March 7, 2023, at the Holdenville Civic Center. The meeting will begin at 6:30 P.M.

On Wednesday, Brian White and White Roofing generously made repairs to the roof of the community center. However, there are several more repairs that are needed. First thing Saturday morning, Council members Julie West and David Leewright went to the community center and took a more in depth look at these specific areas which need to be addressed. Both council members say that the fixing the community center is a top priority for them.
