Ronnie Lee Cherry was born August 21, 1942 to Raymond Cherry and Ethel (Shields) Cherry. Ronnie passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

Ronnie is preceded in death by both parents Raymond Cherry and Ethel (Shields) Cherry; brothers Clarence Glover, and Raymond Cherry Jr.; and sisters Betty Gaines and Pauline McMullin.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Della J. (Gouge) Cherry of the home; daughters, Ronda Cherry, Robin Harrison and husband Jason, and Randee Cherry all of Glenpool, Oklahoma; sons Randy Morgan and wife Missi of Lakeside, California, and Ronnie Isaac Cherry and husband Stephen; grandchildren, Sandie and Adam Edmonds of Red Rock, Arizona, Melanie and Matt Leslie of Vail, Arizona, Megan Sanders of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sara Vance and Allen Collins of Holdenville, Rachel Vance, Tyler Harrison, and Madison and Trent Cantrell of Broken Arrow, Allison Harrison, Paige Harrison, and Cody Whetstine, of Tulsa, Beau Whetstine, Bryce Whetstine, Colton Spencer, and Caidence Billie all from Glenpool; 13 great-grandchildren, Madalie, Mason, Noah, Ryan, Able, Kingston, Kila, Niah, Havanna, Caleb, Cherish, Alexandria, and Sam; brother Wendell Cherry of Holdenville; sister Faye Evans of Holdenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronnie spent a large part of his life’s work in the oilfield and as an auto mechanic. He served our country in the National Guard during the beginning of the Vietnam Conflict.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 2 nd , at the Methodist Church in Holdenville, with Pastor Jimmy Freeman officiating assisted by Gail Beck. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
