City mourns loss of Yarbrough brothers

A two-vehicle collision in Holdenville claimed the life of brothers Jaden Thomas Yarbrough, 21, Holdenville, and Lawrence Brice Yarbrough, 22, Shawnee, Saturday afternoon.
According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Thomas Yarbrough was driving a 2005 Ford 4-door westbound when he crossed the center line into the path of a 2012 Chevrolet pickup, striking head-on. The accident occurred at approximately 3:27 p.m. on Business 270 near the Grimes Avenue intersection.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene by Medical Examiner investigator Leroy Johnson before being transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office. The report states a passenger in the vehicle, 3-year-old Nevah Yarbrough, was not injured.
Marcus Anthony Anderson, 46, Holdenville, driver of the Chevrolet pickup, was transported to Okemah by private vehicle and was treated and released. According to the report, a passenger in the pickup, Noratte Lynn Hobia, 43, was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where she was admitted with head and trunk injuries.
