Pitts Takes Office as Special Judge

Body Ryan H. Pitts has been officially sworn as Special Judge of Seminole and Hughes Counties. District Judge Brett W. Butner originally announced the appointment on April 21, 2025.

Body Lewis Gizzard often wrote about growing up in a little Methodist church in Georgia and how precious it was to him in his childhood. Once, he said they had a couple of rowdy brothers in town who were the town juvenile offenders. They started coming to the youth group at the church.

Body On September 17 and 18, 1909, the first Hughes County Fair was held in Holdenville. The livestock and other outdoor displays were shown in Mc Donald’s Wagon yard, and the indoor displays were set up ion an empty warehouse across the Rock Island tracks.
