    COVID Vaccines Begin in Hughes County

    Hospital, received the first Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine available in Hughes County. FIRST VACCINATION - Shirley Orr, Chief Nursing Officer at Holdenville General The Centers for Disease Control and Prevents recommended that health care workers receive the first vaccinations. The first round of vaccinations was given by an Oklahoma Department of Health Strike Team, but future vaccines will be given by the HGH nursing staff.  
    Hughes County has received its first round of COVID-19 vaccines, with more expected in the near future. Holdenville General Hospital (HGH) received 42 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, December 17.
